socioeconomic movement and the evidence found in empiric research led in Brazilian northeast. The theoretical premise is that cooperativeness
is a production process based on the integration of people, social appreciation of work and respect to values: loyalty, perseverance and
achievement. The methodological approach was qualitative, departing from the study of case method. The chosen cooperative was
COOPERCAJU, in Serra do Mel, Rio Grande do Norte State. The empiric evidence showed that the cooperative was originated due to the
necessity of improving the quality of life from the families involved, who live on the margins of the economic system, and even so keep the
       
     
effect, eventually there is a question about the ideological complementarity between theses philosophies of organization.

Todavia, as cooperativas não despertam interesse
acadêmico e empresarial como ocorre nas empresas
tradicionais, sejam públicas ou privadas, que são organizadas
