O Papel da Perícia Psicológica no Contexto Jurídico

Resumo
A Psicologia Jurídica é a área da Psicologia em interface com o Direito e consiste
na aplicação dos conhecimentos psicológicos às questões do mundo jurídico. A realização
de perícias, estudos profundos e criteriosos que apresentam informações sobre dados
emocionais e psicológicos considerados na decisão judicial, é uma das atividades do
psicólogo jurídico. O laudo psicológico é o documento derivado deste estudo, importante
ferramenta para o magistrado na compreensão sobre funcionamento das pessoas e
processos psicológicos envolvidos no caso, ajudando a evitar erros nas decisões que
podem acarretar grande sofrimento psíquico e danos aos envolvidos. É fundamental
que haja a colaboração de profissionais especialistas a realizar estudos psicológicos
específicos para fins jurídicos, possibilitando uma decisão fundamentada.

Abstract
The Forensic Psychology is the area of Psychology that interfaces with the Law
and it is the application of psychological knowledge to the questions of the legal world.
The conduct of expertise, as depth studies and insightful presenting information about
emotional and psychological data considered in the court ruling, is one of the activities of
the legal psychologist. The psychological report is the document derived from this study,
an important tool for the judge to understand the people functioning and psychological
processes involved in the case, helping to prevent errors in decisions that can cause
great psychological distress and damages to those involved. It is fundamental to have the
collaboration of professional experts to undertake specific psychological studies for legal
purposes, enabling a grounded decision.
