Resumo: O objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar o conflito socioambiental existente em
unidades de proteção integral em suas mais diversas esferas, quais sejam, legal,
institucional, epistemológica e fundiária. Dar-se-á enfoque maior a essa última, uma vez
que a ideia de conservação da natureza está subjacente à ideia de transformar em
patrimônio público, com posse e domínio do Estado, as áreas destinadas a serem de
unidades de proteção integral. Para tanto, as famílias que vivem em tais áreas devem ser
desapropriadas, independe da sua relação com o meio. Para aproximar o estudo à
realidade mineira, proceder-se-á a análise do caso do Parque Nacional da Serra da
Canastra, localizado no sudoeste do estado. O trabalho será bibliográfico, visando à
análise de obras, periódicos e normas que abordam o tema em análise, as quais serão
glosadas e a coleta de dados dar-se-á através de fichamento do tipo citações.

Abstract: The objective of this research is to analyze the socio-environmental conflict
existing in Federal Units of Conservation for Full Protection in its most diverse spheres:
legal, institutional, epistemological and land tenure. A greater focus will be placed on
the last one, it because the idea of nature conservation is related to the idea of
transforming the areas destined to be Units of Conservation for Full Protection into
public patrimony, with ownership and domination of the State. Therefore, families
living in such areas must be expropriated, regardless of their relationship with the
environment. In order to approach the study to the reality of Minas Gerais, the case of
the Serra da Canastra National Park, located in the southwest of the state, will be
analysed. The work will be bibliographical, aiming at the analysis of works, periodicals
and norms that approach the subject under analysis, which will be glossed and the data
collection will be done through registration of the type citations.
