Minister's claim comes when Brazil is more reliant on China

The repercussion of Education Minister Abraham Weintraub's claims that another epidemic is likely to emerge in China in 10 years as Chinese people "eat everything under the sun" comes at a time when Brazilian exports and trade surplus are more dependent on the Asian country. In the first quarter, bilateral trade surplus with China, the main destination for Brazilian exports, reached $4.3 billion compared to $3 billion in 2019.
