CVM, provisional measure grant seven-month respite for shareholders

Companies won some breathing room on Tuesday to fulfill general meeting requirements after the Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil (CVM) changed rules, and the government issued a provisional measure (MP 931) providing the legal basis for the change.
