Ten groups battle for Petrobras's LNG terminal
Ten groups will compete to lease Petrobras's liquefied natural gas terminal in Bahia. The Brazilian state-owned oil company will auction the regasification plant on September 30, allowing the new operator to enter the country's interconnected gas pipeline network with imported gas. The list of qualified bidders includes major global gas suppliers BP, Shell, Total and Repsol as well as companies with expertise in LNG infrastructure, such as Golar Power, Excelerate Energy and Naturgy (through Gas Natural do Brasil) and Brazilian companies...
