Resumo: Este artigo visa apresentar a parceria entre duas mulheres com o in-
tuito de fundar uma associação feminina em 1920. As mulheres são Bertha
Lutz e Maria Lacerda de Moura. A associação é a Liga para Emancipação Inte-
lectual das Mulheres (LEIM), uma das primeiras a lutar pelos direitos femininos
no Brasil. A carta fundadora da Liga será aqui analisada, bem como a aproxima-
ção e o distanciamento entre essas duas figuras emblemáticas do movimento
feminista brasileiro.

Abstract: This article seeks to present the partnership between two women in
order to establish a women’s association in 1920, Bertha Lutz and Maria La-
cerda de Moura. The association is the League for Intellectual Emancipation of
Women, one of the first to fight for women’s rights in Brazil. The founding letter
of the League will be examined here as well as the approach and the distance
between these two emblematic figures of the Brazilian feminist movement.
