RESUMEN
En el presente artículo analizamos la manera como diversas concepciones políticas asociadas al ideario
y a la geografía tercermundista fueron movilizadas por la prensa periódica de izquierdas, especialmente
en países del Cono Sur, en la construcción de proyectos insurgentes a lo largo de las décadas de 1960
y 1970. Estructurando nuestro abordaje a partir de herramientas provenientes de la historia global,
rastrearemos algunos de los materiales puestos en circulación a través de esos medios, atentando
para sus múltiples conexiones y reverberaciones en un contexto internacional profundamente marcado
por la Guerra Fría. Asimismo, llamaremos la atención para la centralidad ocupada por el llamado Tercer
Mundo en la conformación de prácticas y discursos rebeldes, orientados por una agenda antiimperialista
ampliamente difundida en los periódicos de izquierda del período, capaz de conectar los contextos
locales al conjunto de luchas de liberación desarrolladas en todo el planeta.

ABSTRACT
In this article we analyze the way in which various political conceptions associated with Third World
ideology and geography were mobilized by the periodical left-wing press, especially in Southern Cone
countries, in the construction of insurgent projects throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Structuring our
approach based on tools from global history, we will trace some of the materials conveyed through these
newspapers, looking for their multiple connections and reverberations in an international context deeply
marked by the Cold War. Likewise, we will call attention to the centrality occupied by the so-called
Third World in shaping rebel practices and discourses, guided by an anti-imperialist agenda widely
disseminated in the left-wing newspapers of the period, capable of connecting local contexts to the set
of liberation struggles developed all over the planet.
