Resumo: Discute-se o sentido da memória individual de ativistas dos femi-
nismos, em que são observadas repetições e insistências. Tais repetições su-
gerem haver traços em comum entre as formas como os grupos elaboram a
memória de seus feitos. O artigo questiona o papel da memória coletiva no
cultivo do sentimento de pertencer a um grupo, e na delimitação das frontei-
ras simbólicas entre os grupos. Ao mesmo tempo em que oferecem força de
coesão aos grupos, reforçando a identidade de cada um, as memórias seg-
mentam o movimento social de mulheres, alimentando a multiplicação dos
sentidos do que é feminismo.

Abstract: This article examines the sense of individual memories of feminist
activists, where we observe repetitions and insistences. These repetitions
suggest there are common grounds between the ways groups elaborate the
memory of their deeds. The article examines the role the collective memories
play in the growing of sentiments of belonging to a group. At the same time,
memories provide strength of cohesion to the groups; reinforce the identity
of each one, but at the cost of fragmenting the women´s movement, feeding
the multiple meanings to feminism.
