Resumo: Este artigo discute a imprensa feminista da década de 1980, a partir de
sua abordagem sobre questões relacionadas à família e ao cuidado. No contexto de
grande efervescência dos movimentos sociais, os movimentos feministas ressurgem
levando para a arena pública temáticas há muito restritas ao espaço privado. Ao se
apresentar também como importante para o direcionamento da sociedade nas rela-
ções políticas de gênero, a agenda feminista insere, no debate público, temas como
privatização da família, divisão sexual do trabalho e violência doméstica. Como um
estudo de caso, analisa-se o jornal feminista Mulherio, que circulou entre 1981 e 1988,
no Brasil.

Abstract: This article discusses the feminist press in the 1980s, from its approach
on issues related to family and care. In the context of great ferment of social move-
ments, feminist movements reappear leading to the thematic public arena has long
restricted to the private area. While also presenting as important for the direction of
society in gender relations policies, the feminist agenda inserts in the public debate,
issues such as privatization of family, gender division of labor and domestic violence.
As a case study, we analyze the feminist newspaper Mulherio that circulated between
1981 and 1988 in Brazil.
