Resumo: Este artigo expõe e analisa as condições de vida das agricultoras fa-
miliares camponesas no município de Brejo: as suas lutas, conquistas e desa-
fios frente à expansão do agronegócio e a participação delas na reprodução do
campesinato local frente à expansão da monocultura de soja.

Abstract: This article presents and analyzes the living conditions of female
peasant family farmers in the Brejo county: their struggles, achievements and
challenges given the expansion of agribusiness and their participation in the
reproduction of the local peasantry in face of the expansion of soybean mo-
noculture.
