PERFORMANCE TRANSFEMINISTA: O CORPO COMO
PLATAFORMA DE SUBVERSÃO

Resumo: Partindo das teorias feministas, biopolítica e queer, que compre-
endem que corpo carrega marcas das relações de poder, levanto a seguinte
hipótese: as performances artísticas transfeministas não só representam a
subversão de valores que constituem pilares sociais, como podem potenciali-
zar o debate, ativismo e enfrentamento aos conservadorismos do capitalismo
patriarcal, pois nelas a subversão se dá desde a instância mesma de materia-
lização do controle: o corpo. O objetivo deste trabalho foi criar um debate
acerca do potencial de ruptura com a heteronorma que surge nas performan-
ces artísticas transfeministas, bem como promover e incentivar a produção
acadêmico/cultural sobre performance, gênero e ativismo.

Abstract: Drawing from transfeminist, queer and biopolitical theories that
understand that the body carries marks of the power relations, in this article
I raise the following hypothesis: the artistic performances not only represent
the subversion of social values and gender rules, but can also enhance the
debate and activism to fight the patriarchal capitalistic conservationists. The
objective is to create an arguing point about the potential for breaking com-
pulsory heterosexuality discourse that we found about transfeminist art per-
formance and promote and encourage academic and cultural productions on
that subject.
