We present the new edition of the Law and Praxis Journal (07/13, 2016, jan-mar), first of 2016, year in which the journal starts being published quarterly. The next issues are expected to June, September and December. Following our editorial rules, we bring four sections: articles, translations, reviews and the dossier.
In the articles session, we point out twelve unpublished works centered in the fields of legal theory, philosophy and sociology, approaching key subjects such as gender, political system and constitutional jurisdiction, in addition to legal education.
In the translations section, we present very influential works ! The first one is the paper by Universidad Industrial de Santander Professor Andres Botero, from Colombia, called "A leitura literaria forma bons juizes? Analise critica da obra 'Justica Poetica'" ("Does literary reading make good judges? Critical analysis of the work "Poetic Justice"). The second translation is an essay on justice by French professor Jean-Luc Nancy--"Cosmos Basileus"- made and with an introduction written by researcher and diplomat Pablo Ghetti. At last, the third translation refers to the work of Bremen University professor Andreas Fischer-Lescano, from Germany, and his "Sociological aesthetics of law".
The next section is dedicated to the dossier organized by researchers Breno Bringel, Renata Versiani (IESP-UERJ) and Emiliano Maldonado (UFSC) in association with the Law and Social Movements Research Institute (IPDMS Instituto de Pesquisa Direitos e Movimentos Sociais), on the theme Latin American Critical Thinking, militant research and subversive perspectives of rights. The dossier is made of contributions from professors from different countries discussing the subject. Besides that, this dossier also carries the translation of the work of Orlando Fals Borda, "Reflexions on the application of the study-action method in Colombia" ("Reflexoes sobre a aplicacao do metodo de estudo-acao na Colombia"), and one more review.
