Abstract
[Purpose]
The purpose of the study is to reveal the c oncept and essence of forensic
prevention of cr imes of forgery of electronic documents, to identify proble ms in the use of
information to establish a system of cou ntering crime and docume nt management.
[Methodology]
The follo wing approaches wer e used in the wo rk: system-structura l,
dialectical, empirical. Forgery of electro nic documents and their use is investigated n ot
only within the framework of a single criminal case bu t also by a set of cr imes committed
depending on the mechanism that is the main one in the struc ture of crimin al technologies.
[Findings]
Lack of s kills and knowledge ab out the latest forms of documents, methods o f
their for gery and u se in the field of forensic investig ations determine the reasons for the
developmen t of th is condition. The ana lysis of investigative an d judicial practice shows
that cases of forger y of electronic documents are m oved to separate proceeding s due to the
inability to fix the person who c ommitted the c rime. In some cases, court procedures a re
returned f or additional investigation, since investigators ca nnot establish m echanisms for
falsification to ols and bring appropriate c harges.
[Practical Im plications]
The prac tical significance lies in the fo rmation of prop osals for
improving or ma king changes to the legisla tion, effectively improving the activities of law
enforcement a gencies involved in counter ing or combating the for gery of documents.
