RESUMEN
El presente trabajo tiene el objetivo de analizar el trabajo infantil en Brasil, que implica la violación de los
derechos del niño por parte del Estado. El punto central del mismo, se enmarca en el contexto de la eficacia
de las políticas públicas sociales orientadas a la erradicación de la explotación infantil, y donde adquiere
singular importancia el análisis de la relación entre niñez y adolescencia-incluida bajo la protección integral
de de rechos-, el derecho a la educación y las dimensiones sobre construcción de ciudadanía. En este
marco, se intentará indagar acerca de las características sociodemográficas del trabajo infantil, describir
los distintos tipos del mi smo que caracterizan la región, describir y analizar las distintas políticas sociales
afrontadas por el Estado brasileño para erradicar el trabajo infantil -desde el año 1988 hasta nuestros días,
con la realización de la Copa Mundial de l a FIFA 2014- y la implicancia de las distintas organizaciones y
movimientos sociales con sus respectivos métodos de lucha noviolentos, para la erradicación de esta
problemática.

ABSTRACT
The present paper aims to analyze the scourge of child labour in Brazil, involving the violation of children's
rights by the state. The focus of this study is also fr amed in the effectiveness of publi c social policies at
eradicating child exploitation and the relationship between the rights to education and citiz enship
building. In this context, we will try to inquire about the socio demographic characteristics of child labour,
describing its different types which characterize the region, describe and analyze the different social
policies faced by the Brazilian government to eradicate child labour-from 1988 to nowadays, with the start
of the FIFA World Cup 2014 -and the role encouraged by social organizations and movements, with their
respective methods of nonviolent struggle to eradicate this problem.
