RESUMO
A presente pesquisa cientíca abordará o Sistema Interamericano dos Direitos
Humanos, destacando a criação da Comissão e da Corte Interamericana, orga-
nismos que buscam de forma subsidiária, complementar e orientar os Estados
membros no que se refere ao desrespeito aos Direitos Humanos. Trabalhará,
ainda, como os Estados vinculados à Convenção Americana podem receber
sanções da Corte relativas a esses abusos. Abordará a formação histórica e o
procedimento de atuação destes organismos, com o foco na proteção integral

dos Direitos Humanos. Discorrerá, sobre a proteção das crianças e dos adoles-
centes, destacando as diversas convenções e acordos internacionais reconhe-
cidos pela comunidade internacional ao longo da história, os quais buscam
resguardar os direitos dos menores. E por m, demonstrará que as mulheres
também tem recebido apoio do Sistema Interamericano de Direitos Humanos,
que adota todas as medidas e políticas de enfretamento à violência contra a
mulher, por meio de tratados, convenções e conferências no âmbito interame-
ricano. Para tanto, adotar-se-á método hipotético-dedutivo.

ABSTRACT
is scientic research will address the Inter-American Human Rights System,
highlighting the creation of the Commission and the Inter-American Court,
which seek, in a subsidiary manner, to complement and guide member states
in their disrespect of human rights. It will also address how States bound by
the American Convention may receive sanctions from the Court relating to
such abuses. It will address the historical formation and the procedure of
these bodies, with a focus on the integral protection of Human Rights. It will
focus on the protection of children and adolescents, highlighting the various
international conventions and agreements recognized by the international
community throughout history, which seek to protect the rights of minors.
Finally, it will demonstrate that women have also received support from
the Inter-American Human Rights System, which adopts all measures and
policies to address violence against women, through treaties, conventions
and conferences in the inter-American context. To do so, we will adopt a
hypothetical-deductive method.
