PROPOSALS FOR THE PROTECTION OF INTELLECTUAL
PROPERTY IN COMPARATIVE LAW

Abstract: This article aims at the legal institute of intellectual property, which is the
protection of copyright in its various meanings in different legislations through the
study of comparative law. From the theoretical point of view, the study is based in the
assumption of the fundamental right to the dignity of the human person, pointing out
the need to ensure the protection of the moral and patrimonial rights of the author. It
is a descriptive research whose sources include doctrine, legislation and jurisprudence
related to the object of reflection and its unfolding. The paper aims to demonstrate the
importance of legal and judicial protection in the face of the complexity and
dynamicity of the world today and its consequences for authors as well as for society
in general. In the end, it intends to present a proposal aimed at changing the paradigm
regarding the regulation and implementation of concrete actions to unify the world
legislation through a supranational directive norm to guarantee the effectiveness of
the protection of intellectual property.

INTRODUCTION
The present work aims to analyze the challenges of contemporary and
globalized society in relation to data protection and intellectual property in the digital
era and the State's action in the fight against copyright infringement on the web with
the comparative analysis of Brazilian Legislation and European Union on the subject
