Resumo: O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar questões que envolvem
nacionalidade, cidadania e naturalização, tratando não só dos direitos e deveres
adquiridos por brasileiros, mas também as consequências jurídicas que este tema
pode trazer para a vida das pessoas. Além de falar sobre a questão do Brasil
especificamente, é feito um comparativo entre Brasil, Portugal e Itália no que se
refere às leis de nacionalidade, uma vez que as legislações dos três países se
diferenciam entre si. Da mesma forma que são abordadas questões que envolvem a
dupla nacionalidade, é tratada também nesta pesquisa a relação que estes três países
têm com os apátridas, como encaram a situação e se buscam ajudar ou não pessoas
que se encontram nesta situação.

Abstract: This article aims to analyze issues involving nationality, citizenship and
naturalization, dealing not only with the rights and duties acquired by Brazilians, but
also with the legal consequences that this theme can bring to people's lives. In
addition to talking about the issue of Brazil specifically, a comparison is made
between Brazil, Portugal and Italy with regard to nationality laws, since the
legislations of the three countries differ. In the same way that issues involving dual
nationality are dealt with in this research, the relationship that these three countries
have with stateless persons, how they view the situation and whether or not they are
trying to help people who are in this situation.
